Groff (left) and Quinto (right) Gay actor Zachary Quinto has confirmed he is in a relationship with Glee’s Jonathan Groff, telling Out magazine: “I’m incredibly happy, I’m incredibly lucky.” Groff, 27, plays Jesse St. James on hit musical series Glee and is also a stage actor, particularly known for his work in musicals. Quinto, 35, has starred in Heroes, Star Trek and American Horror Story. He says it hasn’t been easy finding the type of companionship he has with Groff because he was "in a pattern of being attracted to people who were somehow unavailable." He says therapy helped: "I had to do a lot of work on the couch to really get to a place where I was able to show up to a relationship with someone who was actually capable of being in one—and that took a lot of trial and error. And I'm still working on all that stuff—that will never stop." Quinto also spoke to Out about his decision to come out last year. “I thought about it as coming out from behind the wall,” he said. “Walls now are only as high or as thick or as strong as we allow them to be.”
