John Key shrugs off Craig's "too gay" quote

Tue 4 Sep 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News

“We live in a world where equality is pretty important,” is John Key’s response to Colin Craig’s claims the Prime Minister is “too gay” for his Helensville electorate. The Conservative Party has sent out flyers to Helensville voters urging them to speak out against marriage equality, and has included a letter from a resident saying ''Colin you should stand here because John Key is too gay for Helensville''. ''Give me a break,” John Key has told media in response to the comment. The Prime Minister is backing Louisa Wall’s marriage equality bill right through all three readings.
