Maori TV poll shows strong backing for equality

A poll by Maori Television’s Native Affairs programme found strong support for marriage equality. The programme surveyed 311 viewers who have joined its online survey panel, Whanau Forum, and 82 per cent of those surveyed were Maori. The network says 76 per cent were in support of gay marriage, and the results were discussed in a live political debate, which can be seen here
