There are indications 57 MPs have already made it clear they will support Louisa Wall’s marriage equality Bill through at least its first reading, near the 61 required. The group Marriage Equality New Zealand has collated data from emails, conversations and news reports and found 57 MPs favour marriage equality, 15 are against, seven are undecided and a massive 42 MPs’ views are not yet known.
