"One Million Moms" on the rampage over new show

Sat 21 Jul 2012 In: International News

A group of homophobic American mothers are calling for a boycott of a new TV series from Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy, which features a gay couple having their first child through a surrogate. "One Million Moms" says with comedy The New Normal NBC is "using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage". "These things are harmful to our society, and this program is damaging to our culture," it says in a post on its website, "Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. NBC's The New Normal is attempting to desensitise America and our children. It is the opposite of how families are designed and created." The group previously moaned about JC Penney featuring a same-sex couple in a catalogue.
