Cloudburst gets an extra run at Paramount

Sat 21 Jul 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News

The fan favourite at Out Takes 2012 is being screened in a special extended season at Wellington's Paramount. Cloudburst had the highest attendance of any film for the past five years at the glbt film festival, and was voted Best Feature Film by moviegoers, one of whom wrote "Absolutely, positively not just one of the best queer films I've ever seen, this is in my top 40 films of all time!" Starring actresses Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker as an aged lesbian couple, the flick is a hilarious and heartbreaking romp which looks at the issues of age and illness with a queer bend. Cloudburst will be showing at the Paramount for at least the next two weeks and will have two sessions a day: 1.20PM and 6.45PM.
