Wgtn coming out group attracts men of all ages

Mon 16 Jul 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News

Men aged from 18 to 60 have been reaping the benefits of Gay Wellington's fortnightly coming out support group Newcomers. Gay Wellington co-chair Stu Donaldson says 11 people attended the last meeting on Tuesday, which finished with a dinner at the Green Parrot. "Since we re-started this group last October there have been about 17 guys come along to get help through the coming out process, as well as nine of us from Gay Wellington who have come from time to time to share our own stories," Donaldson says. "The ages have ranged from 18 to 60, with guys in their 20s and 40s probably being the most common." While Donaldson is heading to Australia for four months, the meetings will continue. The next will be held on Tuesday 24 July from 6PM till 7.30PM. Anyone who wants more information can call Wellington Gay
