Dr Jason Myers The Cartier Trust has appointed HIV researcher and advocate Dr Jason Myers as a new Trustee. Dr Myers trained as a social scientist and his PhD told the stories of HIV-positive gay men in Auckland. After completing a research fellowship in London, he returned to New Zealand. He is now the Strategic Policy Advisor at the New Zealand AIDS Foundation. “I have always admired the important work of the Cartier Trust and I was excited to accept a position on the Board,” Dr Myers says. “We are very pleased to have Jason join the trust and look forward to working with him to further ensure the continued strength and value of the Trust“, said Karen Ritchie, the Founding Trustee. Jason replaces Paul Heaslip, who has left the Board, which he has been involved in since establishing the initial Trust deed in 2004. However he will continue to support and contribute to the Trust in an informal capacity. Dr Jason Myers joined the Cartier Trust in the capacity of independent Trustee and is not representing the NZAF.
