Olympia Dukakis stars in Cloudburst There are still a handful of seats available for tonight’s opening night gala films at the Auckland leg of Out Takes. The women’s film Cloudburst, which stars Olympia Dukakis, has almost sold out two entire cinemas, while the men’s film Let My People Go! has nearly sold out one cinema at Rialto in Newmarket. Rialto’s bar will be open from 7PM for people heading to opening night, while there will be speeches at a prize draw from 7.50PM and the films screen at 8.30PM. Out Takes opens in Wellington on 31 May. The festival’s team says it has the very best in queer film from around the world, from such diverse places as India, Poland, Belgium, Finland and even Outer Space! It says many of the films will not screen again in New Zealand. Tickets are available from Rialto in Auckland here and the Paramout in Wellington here
