A documentary capturing the life of New Zealand’s first ‘out’ intersex person Mani Mitchell has won best local feature at the Documentary Edge Festival’s opening leg in Auckland. Promoters say Grant Lahood’s film Intersexion has been one of the most popular in the festival. It has also picked up an award for editing. Intersexion screens in Auckland once more on 8 May at 12.45PM, at Event Cinemas in Newmarket. The Documentary Edge Festival is heading to Wellington on 17 May and Intersexion will screen three times in the capital. More information here
