GenderBridge seeks input in future direction

Auckland-based transgender support and advocacy group GenderBridge is this Saturday holding an interactive planning session, to map the way forward. “This is an opportunity for the wider trans community and allies to have their say about what they would like to see GenderBridge do over the next year and beyond, says chair Jaimie Veale. “With a number of experienced committee members stepping down, we are also looking to find people to be part of GenderBridge’s governance team and work on ways to make this a safe, productive, diverse and creative team.” Allgender-diverse people and their allies are welcome to attend the session, which starts with lunch at 12PM at the Ponsonby Community Centre. The session will be facilitated by community development specialist, Cissy Rock. “I am excited to be a part of assisting this dynamic community organisation to grow and flourish” she says.
