Excitement is building for the triumphant return of Mr Gay World to Auckland tonight. Andreas Derleth won the title in Johannesburg on Sunday night, while representing his adopted country of New Zealand. The German-born 32-year-old flies into Auckland International Airport at 9.10PM and will be welcomed by banner-waving friends and excited members of the glbt community. The Gay Auckland Business Association (GABA) has added its congratulations to Derleth, saying: “GABA is thrilled to congratulate Andreas Derleth on winning this prestigious title, and putting Auckland on the world map as home to, Mr Gay World.”
