Airport welcome planned for Mr Gay World

Tue 10 Apr 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

An airport welcoming party is being planned for Mr Gay World Andreas Derleth when he flies back into Auckland tomorrow night. The 32-year-old German-born Aucklander took out the title in Johannesburg on Sunday night, representing New Zealand. His partner Tom Linn says friends are planning to wait at the international arrivals terminal with banners on Wednesday night, to give him a fitting welcome home. “This is a rare event to welcome Mr Gay World and we need to show our support to the nation and the world,” Linn says. Derleth’s flight arrives at 9.10PM on Wednesday night, in Auckland.
