Z petrol station will donate cash to NZAF

Wed 29 Feb 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Purchases from an inner-city Auckland service station will benefit the NZ AIDS Foundation in a scheme highlighting the fuel outlet's transformation from the Shell brand to 'Z.' The Z service station on the corner of Williamson Avenue and Mackelvie Street in Ponsonby has set aside $5000 to donate to four charitable community causes in its area and has chosen the NZAF to receive part of the funds. Customers will receive small orange tokens with their purchases, says the NZAF's Shaun Robinson, to be placed in one of four boxes near the counter. "Be sure to pop yours in the box marked NZ AIDS Foundation," says Robinson. "More tokens equals more dollars" for the Foundation he says. The promotion has just started and will run until the end of March.
