2.50PM: NZ AIDS Foundation boss Shaun Robinson has delcared today's Get It On Big Gay Out "another big success." The Foundation is the organisation behind the Get It On safe sex campaigns and took over running the BGO after the demise of the annual Hero Festivals threatened the future of what had become a powerful tool for the Foundation's safe sex promotion and research programmes. The weather continues to be a mixture of warm and humid with occasional rainy squalls but Robinson, who has helmed the NZAF since a few weeks before last year's BGO, is philosophical. "We can't control the weather but Aucklanders are used to it being fine one moment and drizzly the next," he laughs. In the background a gay man comments: " And us boys like a wet t-shirt!" Prime Minister John Key is about to arrive at the Big Gay Out and is scheduled to address the crowd at 3.30pm. GayNZ.com Daily News is filing regular live reports throughout the afternoon from the Big Gay Out. You can discuss this New Zealand gay community news story in the GayNZ.com Forum.
