Cocktails and canapes for Auckland fundraiser

Tue 7 Feb 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

A “pop up” fundraiser will be held in Auckland later this month to raise cash for an annual retreat for HIV positive men. The event at Auckland’s DNA bar on Wednesday 22 February will be packed with entertainment. It will help pay for positive men from around the country to gather at Long Bay for an annual retreat. As well as serious medical clinics and massage, retreat attendees enjoy swimming, horse riding and socialising at the picturesque beach. The men’s retreat helps to ensure that positive men from around the country can meet, share their problems and give each other support. The Pop Up festivities run from 6-8PM at DNA ending with a prize draw before Cindy of Samoa takes over with karaoke. Tickets are $10 and are on sale from Body Positive House in Poynton Terrace, and at Eagle and DNA bars on K’ Rd.
