Advance tickets for the final instalment of Queen of the Whole Universe in July are flying out the door and anyone who wants to see the last show is being urged to get their ticket so they don't miss out. Ticket sales opened for the very queer beauty pageant on World AIDS Day (01 Dec 2011). The shows creative director, Jonathan Smith, is delighted but not surprised with the high demand for tickets. "There are many people who have seen every show and others that have never attended who are really keen to be part of this final fabulous show," he says. Smith says this is the highest level of pre-sales since QWU first started back in 2004, although most shows have sold out the week before. Due to the higher than expected advance sales the organisers have decided to open the 'Balcony' for sales now, five months earlier than expected. Smith says he has been sure to price the QWU 2012 so it is available to all in our community. Tickets range from as low as $20 up to $79 for a Premium Reserve seat. All tickets include entry to the post-event party also held at the Aotea Centre. He adds QWU tickets could be a Christmas present for that person who has everything Queen of the Whole Universe: Saturday 21st July 2012 – 8pm ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre, THE EDGE, Auckland To purchase tickets: www.buytickets.co.nz 0800 BUY TICKETS
