2011 Mr Gay World Francois Nel will hand over his title on home soil Mr Gay World 2012 has been announced for Johannesburg, where gorgeous men from all over the world will strut their stuff next April in search of the title. In 2011 the inaugural Mr Gay NZ Aaron Comis represented New Zealand at the competition in the Philippines, finishing 4th runner-up, with Francois Nel, from Pretoria, taking the title. The search will soon begin through GayNZ.com for Mr Gay NZ 2012, who will receive a free trip to South Africa to compete, compliments of the Mr Gay World team. The competition will be made up of different events over four days culminating in the Grand Finale on Sunday, 8 April at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, Johannesburg. Mr Gay World President Eric Butter says the team is excited to take the Big Five continents to Africa to experience the 'Rainbow Nation' for the fourth annual competition. "The producers of Mr Gay South Africa have produced excellent quality events and we are so looking forward to the production and unique African experience they are planning for the international delegation."
