Whitney will be back for season three of The Real L Word The Real L Word has been renewed for a third season, in which it will cross the US to be set in New York. Showtime says the reality spin-off of The L Word is moving from Los Angeles to The Big Apple. "We're excited and gratified to be picked up for the stories of our most beloved Season 2 cast members at some truly major and life-altering junctures, and we think it's time to throw down and invite the women of New York to join in and demonstrate the claims they've lobbed at us these past years … that New York's women have something more to say about lesbian life, something that isn't being said by our Los Angeles ladies," said creator-executive producer Ilene Chaiken in a statement. "Bring it on, Brooklyn!" She added. The character who has been in the series through the first two seasons, Whitney, will also return. Sky TV has been screening The Real L Word's first season on its E! Channel, however the second series which has just finished on US television is still some time away. A Sky spokeswoman says the second season is still in discussion and all depends on what the classification will be, "so it won't be here in the near future unfortunately".
