Hefty haul announced for Urge Slave Auction

The lots have been announced for this Saturday’s annual Slave Auction at Urge Bar, and there are plenty of potential Christmas presents for that burly man in your life. This year the auction is raising funds for a new GLBT initiative at the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. Over the last four years the auction has raised over $12,000 for a variety of charities including OUTLine, Body Positive and the New Zealand AIDS Foundation. Urge co-owner Alan Granville is encouraging people to come along and empty their wallets but if you can't make it then absentee bids on lots can be made by emailing urgebar@gmail.com "We are also looking for the last couple of 'slaves' for the night. You won't actually be sold, you just need to present the prize and encourage people to bid on lots," said Granville. Lot items: A year's worth of movie tickets at the Rialto Cinema Season ticket for 2 at the Silo Theatre Dinner voucher at Eight Point Two restaurant in Birkenhead Marcellos Cafe voucher Basement gift pack and a 1l Jager bottle from Glengarry Don Choi artwork 'Hire a Bear' for a day Massage by Johnny Trifun Southern HiBearnation event pass Get It On gift pack and passes to Bearracuda Auckland and Tri-Nations 3 The Grinder gift pack Christophe Jannin artwork Mancave grooming kit 2degrees phone Big night out courtesy of Quality Inn, Caluzzi and Urge The auction is due to start at 10.30PM on Saturday at the K' Rd bar.
