Glbt students get ready to Glow Out

Wed 21 Sep 2011 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

"Glow like the jewel you are" is the enlightening message being sent out to Auckland's younger glbt community through a dance party where glow sticks and UV paint are a must-have. This Saturday's Glow Out dance at Rising Sun is being organised by Out @AUT and Get It On! in conjunction with UniQ Auckland and Rainbow Youth. It's designed to be a one-for-all glbt dance party event to foster the best the rainbow community has to offer and raise money for Auckland's tertiary support groups, and to help sponsor attendance at the next UniQ conference. Out @AUT President Martin McCullough says it will be a glow spectacular, with DJ Steven Oates and a performance from the Southside Sisters. "Coming and buy a ticket and have a good night. We want people to get together, network and have a good party," he explains. "Come and glow. That's the whole theme: a lot of gay people face hard situations and normally in those tough times we glow." Tickets: $15 or $20 at the door Book/buy through iTicket For more info and all the latest gossip visit Out @AUT's Facebook page
