Blue September fundraiser to be Celtic affair

Thu 15 Sep 2011 In: New Zealand Daily News

In this garb, Mel Gibson would fit right in at Urge's charity night Auckland men's bar Urge is once again turning blue to raise money for prostate cancer. This year's Blue September appeal night on 24 September has a Celtic theme. "We realise that with the opening of new bar DNA, Mika's Aroha event and UniQ's Glow Out party, the weekend of September 23-24 is a busy one. But we'd love our patrons to get their kilts on and help a very worthy charity," says Urge co-owner Alan Granville. He points out that annually, over 2,900 men in New Zealand are diagnosed with prostate cancer.
