Graham Capill released from jail

Fri 9 Sep 2011 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Disgraced former head of the Christian Heritage party Graham Capill has been released from jail after nearly six years in prison for child sex offences. The 52-year-old fiercely anti-gay campaigner was sentenced to nine years jail in July 2005 after admitting sex crimes against three young girls over a 12-year period, starting in 1990, the year after he became party leader. He was paroled with a number of strict conditions, including being banned from contact with children aged 16 years old or younger unless under approved supervision.
