Sir Paul Reeves The New Zealand AIDS Foundation is paying tribute to its Vice Patron Sir Paul Reeves, who died on Sunday. The 78-year-old highly-distinguished former Governor-General lost a battle with cancer. "It is with great sadness that we farewell our Vice Patron, Sir Paul Reeves," the Foundation says. "His dedication to the NZAF will be remembered and cherished, and our thoughts are with his whānau. Haere rā e te rangatira ki te korowai o te pō. Haere haere haere atu rā." A tangi began yesterday at the Holy Sepulchre Church, while Sir Paul will have a State funeral at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Parnell on Thursday.
