Gay Kiwi short film nominated for Iris Prize

A gay New Zealand short film has been shortlisted for the Iris Prize, the world's largest short film award. The Colonel's Outing by Aucklanders Christopher Banks and Andy Jalfon is one of 30 films in the running for the $50,000 prize package, which also sees the winner invited to the UK to make a new short film. The flick tells the story of two older men who find love in a rest home. The filmmaking duo from Number 8 Films also had their short Teddy nominated in 2009. The Colonel’s Outing was nominated by the Miami Gay
