Fri 12 Aug 2011 In: New Zealand Daily News

Hamish Milne After three and half years working for the New Zealand AIDS Foundation Hamish Milne is moving to new pastures. The Community Engagement Coordinator for Christchurch is moving to a role at the Waikato District Health Board, which begins on 22 August. He is being replaced at the NZAF by Akira Le Fevre, who is a lead facilitator with the Q-topia queer youth group and as Milne puts it: "a well-connected and respected member of the Christchurch glbt communities". Milne has also organised Pride Week in his time in Christchurch and most recently organised 'Operation Condom' to ensure there were enough condoms to cover the "stress-relieving" sex in the quake-ravaged city. Milne is promising a proper Christchurch farewell party at some stage.
