An Anglican gay rights advocate and former partner of ex-MP Tim Barnett has resigned from his role as a senior executive at the Auckland University of Technology after "accounting discrepancies" involving hundreds of thousands of dollars. The New Zealand Herald reports Jonathan Kirkpatrick was chief executive of the AUT Business Innovation Centre and is now at the centre of a police complaint. More than $500,000 is allegedly involved.
