A pile of 'unofficial' Gay Ski Week events have been set up at lightning speed by a group of hardy locals, after Livewire Group entered voluntary liquidation. We have full details here. A group led by Sally Whitewoods from The Southern Lakes Lesbian and Gay Society has salvaged what it can from the sad situation and put together an itinerary. They have been buoyed by the news that tickets to the Buff and White Out parties will be honoured. "Thank you everyone for your help and support. It has been the most insane 48 hours I have had for a long time!" is the message from Whitewoods. Saturday 23rd July 11am - Welcome desk at The Novotel. Sally Whitewoods will be there for local info and help etc. 6pm - Opening party @ Guilty from 6pm. Tickets can be bought from the welcome desk or on the door, $20 including nibbles! Sunday 24th July 7.45am - Cardrona pick up with Serious Fun snow shuttles. Transport and lift pass $135 per person. Limited spaces..... 7.30pm - Dinner @ Prime restaurant. 3 course set meal $50 per person. Monday 25th July Take your pick on which mountain to visit. Tuesday 26th July Adventure Day... Whitewoods can help book you on your swing or strap you to a man for your skydive! We are in the adrenalin capital of the world!
