Paquin speaks up about bisexual prejudice

Wed 29 Jun 2011 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Kiwi True Blood star Anna Paquin has spoken out about the level of prejudice against bisexual people, saying the more people talk about it the less of an issue it will be. The 28-year-old actress, who is married to her co-star Stephen Moyer, came out as bisexual last April when she filmed an advert for an lgbt charity. "Frankly no one had ever asked me about being bisexual before," she has told W magazine. "There is a lot of prejudice against us but the more people talk about it, the less of a deal it will be. "Who people choose to sleep with or spend their lives with shouldn't matter, not that anyone particularly cares who I'm attracted to." True Blood has already featured a number of lgbt characters, and the new fourth series features a new relationship between two women. If you want to know more (spoilers) click here
