UpRising - our handy guide

Sat 4 Jun 2011 In: Events

Danice Dearborn is one of the organisers of the UpRising Party in Christchruch on Sunday night, where she will also DJ. She has put together a handy guide so everyone can attend with no hassles! What should I wear? The UpRising is an opportunity to be as creative as you wish. The crazier, the better. There will be spot prizes (such as bar tab) given throughout the night for the most outstanding outfits. However, dressing up isn't compulsory, so come wearing whatever you feel most comfortable in. How do I get there? The Pegasus Arms is at 14 Oxford Terrace (Between the Hospital and Montreal St). You can also use the back entrance via Tuam St, between Hagley Ave Upstairs- Dance Downstairs- Bar ; Outdoors- Cosy covered area for smokers. What if there's an earthquake? The Pegasus is a safe wooden building which was not damaged in February's quake. If we need to evacuate, stay calm and use one of three available exits. When do I know it's time to go home to bed? The bar closes at 3am so make sure you get your last drink before then. Will there be more GLBTI Events in Christchurch? YES! If you'd like to be added to the mailing list (chchnotices), or the texting list, please give your details to DJ Danice (0272085213 danicedearborn@xtra.co.nz) to be informed personally of any upcoming events. We hope everyone can relax, enjoy the music
