A generous private donor added $200 to the collection buckets at Wigarama, boosting the amount raised at the Auckland fundraiser to $630. The event at Club Se7en on Saturday 7 May raised money for the Cartier Trust, which supports the funerals of those who lose their lives from AIDS-related illnesses and provides emotional help to family members and friends. Founder and Trustee Karen Ritchie is expressing thanks on behalf of the Trust for everyone who made Wigarama a memorable evening. "It was very humbling to see so much support that is why we cannot single out people, everyone who gave their time for shows, to be on the doors, working behind the scene ... and all those who came out to give support you are the heroes, there was $630 collected on the night $200 of that was from a private donor. Cartier thanks you very much," Ritchie says.
