Club Seven will fling open its doors for the hair-raising fundraiser Wigarama on Saturday 7 May. The event will raise money for the Cartier Trust, which supports the funerals of those who lose their lives from AIDS-related illnesses and provides emotional help to family members and friends. “In November 2010, the Cartier Trust hosted a Masquerade Ball - the tickets were expensive, all Trustees paid for their own tickets to attend, so we can sympathise with that,” says founder and Trustee Karen Ritchie. “Wigarama is a community event and we welcome you to join us for a wonderful night with great entertainment kindly provided by local performers. Cindy of Samoa will be hosting the night along with Auckland's Drag Divas.” The trust is suggesting either $5 or a gold coin donation at the door. Wigarama begins at 7pm. Wear your best wig or hairpiece and look out for GayNZ.com's photographers.
