A film which looks at "how insightful people of faith handle the realisation of having a gay child" will be screened at the University of Waikato in Hamilton on Wednesday night. The screening of 2007 documentary For The Bible Tells Me so is presented by The Queer film Society and all are welcome. The film features the experiences of five "very normal, very Christian, very American families" who are confronting having a gay family member. It purports to offer "healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the cross hairs of scripture and sexual identity". The film will be shown in lecture theatre S.1.02 on Wednesday the 13th of April at 7.30pm, here is a campus map. Organisers are hoping to play English subtitles to cater for the deaf and hearing impaired.
