Modern Family and Glee have shared the honours for best comedy series at the GLAAD Media Awards in the Los Angeles ceremony. Project Runway won the reality TV award after featuring a contestant who publicly revealed he was HIV positive. I Love You, Phillip Morris, starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, was named outstanding film on limited release. Broadway and TV actress Kristin Chenoweth with the Vanguard award, which is given to those who increase visibility and understanding of the LGBT community. Winners were announced in 25 of this year's 32 media categories last month. Singer Ricky Martin and the TV shows True Blood and 30 Rock were among those recognised.
