Christchurch Pride plans scaled down

Fri 8 Apr 2011 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

The devastating quake has taken its toll on Christchurch Pride, which will not go ahead as planned in May. The Number 8 Films screening of ‘Violet Tendencies' will go ahead, at a new venue, Hoyts Riccarton on Thursday 12 May at 8pm and the AIDS Candlelight Memorial on Sunday 15 May. "So there's still a chance to mark the week that would've been Pride, and get together with the Christchurch rainbow community," organisers say. “We'll be back and better than ever-stay tuned for the rainbows emerging from the rubble!”
