Christchurch queer youth group Q-topia will be back up and running this week after losing access to two venues in the two quakes which hammered the city. It has planned a coffee night for this Thursday at the Family Planning Clinic on at 9 Washington Way from 7pm till 8.30pm. The social support group was formerly housed at the community centre White Elephant HQ on Bedford Row, near Lichfield St, which was already badly damaged in the deeper September quake and had an uncertain future. Last month it began using the facilities of Unlimited School in Cashel Mall as a meeting place, but the second venue has been so badly damaged by the February quake there access has been blocked for an indefinite period.
