Mon 28 Mar 2011 In: International News View at NDHA

A 15-year-old openly lesbian singer has stormed Denmark's X-Factor with her husky pop voice, covering the likes of Pink and Lady Gaga to win her nation over. Sarah, for whom no last name is given, won the title in front of a live crowd of 40,000 people at Parken Stadium, while millions more watched on their TVs at home. The Copenhagen Post reports her win comes despite warnings by voice experts that she should not be allowed to participate in the show due to concerns that she had been singing incorrectly and could do long-term damage to her vocal cords. She beat 16-year-old Babou and the 32-year-old Annelouise in “the world's biggest X Factor final” which had a guest performances from reunited 90s boy band Take That.
