Picture: LA Times The widely-despised anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church was absent from the prompt private ceremony farewelling AIDS champion and silver screen legend Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Dame Elizabeth has been laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times reports her family arrived in five black stretch limousines and left within a couple of hours through the wrought-iron gates. "Despite the camera crews lined up outside and the helicopter that hovered overhead, it was a peaceful and quiet event. Even the fans who gathered mostly seemed to be connected to the elementary school letting out nearby," the newspaper reports. A number of people gathered outside the cemetery with umbrellas in order to block any protestors from the stringently homophobic Westboro Baptist Church, however none appeared. The LA Times says Taylor was laid to rest near her good friend Michael Jackson. The cemetery is also the final resting place of movie stars James Stewart and Sammy Davis Jr.
