A Facebook photo of an alleged swindler has prompted 193 Malaysian men to complain he conned them — in many cases, after having sex with them. Several young men, their faces obscured, said in a Kuala Lumpur press conference how they came to be cheated by a man they described as softly spoken and considerate. Some 100 of the 193 self-identified victims say they had sex with the man before being conned out of their money, laptops and other valuables. Many met him through Facebook or pen-pal magazines, and one of the victims went on to post his photo on Facebook. Press conference chair Datuk Michael Chong, the Malaysian Chinese Association chief of public services and complaints, said the known number of victims was shocking, but many more may not have come forward due to shame.
